The details about the War Memorial in St Peter's Church have been lost. The statue in the centre seems to be Saint George defeating the dragon. For some reason his belt is fastened the way ladies used to fasen theirs. The Memorial was produced by Davis & Sons of Old Hill. If you look carefully at the top of the right brass panel. On the left you can see the top half of 4th 7th. On the right is the top half of sters. This indicates that the Memorial had the names of the "Glorious Dead" engraved in the stone and the brass panels were installed after the Second World War. If anyone has any information I would be very interested.
